New World Park used to be fun park as early as 1930's. There were cinema, restaurants, operas and all sorts of games and shows. Fussy M and friends from that generation had a lot of fond memories of their childhood there ! The place had been left abandon for a few decades and it has been revitalised a few years ago and it has been turned into a f&b hot spot now.

Ecco Cafe @ Chulia Street
Spotted this cafe for quite some time and decided to visit this place one of the days... as I thought should give it a try after all it manages to 'survive' until now...so there must be a reason it still stands .... and it seems getting 'packed' every evening I pass by. So, take the opportunity to ask SJ to dinner to celebrate her 'belated' birthday at this place. It is open 11.00 am to 2.30 pm for lunch and 7.00 pm to 10.30 pm for dinner. Noticed that this place closed on Monday and Tuesday (lunch).
The place looks cozy. It is situated in one of the old shop houses along Chulia Street; backpackers' favourite area. The place looks like its original, ie. the tiles, even the old signage is not removed ! ; no renovation done as this place used to be a traditional coffee-shop and now it leads a new life !!

Kimberley Street
Kimberley Street has many things to offer ; some of the famous koay teow soup can be found along this road, day and night ! Found this junk store unitentionally. Unfortunately it is closed on the day when I am equipped with my camera. The owner has many many antique things in his shop; to some antiques while some considered them junk ! I saw a few paper cuttings that he has framed up and hang on the wall, so he has been interviewed by reporters before! He must be well known for his trade, eh?
Across the street, opposite the junk store, I notice that this
2 storey pre-war building still preserve the 'antique' colourful decorations above its window while its neigbours' one are the plain and dull white wall.
Good work !

Happy Birthday to All !!!!!!!
Today is the 7th day of the lunar new year and also 'Yan Yat' which means everyone's birthday. Fussy M made some sort of home-made yee sang (salad) for the occassion. Accordingly (to Chinese genesis, goddess Ni Wor created rooster on the 1st day, 2nd is the dog, 3rd day is the sheep, 4th is boar , on the 5th day is the 'moo-moo' while 6th is horse and finally 7th is the men ! Hence, it is every men's birthday today !!
