Sunday Market

Dropped by at Sunday market looking for some gifts. Met a very long time friend cum ex-colleague, S.H. there. Seemed like he has retired this year ! How time flies ! He is still

the same; so popular with everyone , old and young ; one of his young friends make a remark that probably almost all Penangites knows him which I agreed. Apparently, most of the people who stopped at his stall are his friends ! (including me, of course !)

Soup of the day

Managed to find some fresh green radish at Tesco yesterday, so begin my 'soup mission' today. Dumped in all the ingredients as per instructed in my favourite book of soup by Chiu Sang. Substituted beef with pork while the rest of the ingredients were nu zhen zi , lotus seed, huai shan, carrot, green radish, dried longans, dried octopus and black dates. The taste was superb !!! Hmmm...simply delicious....too yummy until I cancelled my plan to share it with my neighbour!

Bought this piece from Sumire-craft @ Sunday market in August. A gift for my friend.

Mid-autumn meeting

Since today is Aidilfitri holiday, lunch with LK and her family and Boon today in conjunction of mid-autumn gathering cum getting some updates of our class/school mates. Forgot to snap a few pics of the dishes and only realised when I almost wiped out all the food. Good to catch up with Boon but alas LK was not feeling well so we did not continue further after lunch. Anyway must thanks LK for the fulfilling lunch.

Anyway, snap a few pics of the 'cheeky' one while waiting for LK in the car. Had a 'camera' fight with the cheeky boy, ha..ha....

After a heavy chow the other night, had a very simple but enjoyable dinner at home.

Night's out

After a heavy chow, we stoppped by S.F.'s place. Her mom treated us with 'fu chok barley with ginko' dessert. Had some nice chat while savouring the dessert at the balcony. Superb night view from her room's balcony.
